OLD and NEW BUSINESS:
- Don Nelson reported that the Treasury “is never good, but not insolvent right now.” The weather’s been better, so more planes have gone up; four or five went up today. More members are taking advantage of our bonus incentive which certainly helps out both the member and the treasury.
- One new member was added this week.
- The Skyhawk went to Duke’s for its major overhaul. All other planes are ready to fly.
- Brett Lenz (Green Castle’s official runway light repairman) said he really needs more white, 5-gallon buckets. Brett also would like people to eat Tostitos salsa, as he needs the jars (with lids) for use in runway light repair.
- John Navara submitted info re the May 15 flour drop to the DOT for inclusion on their website. Mark Eads “volunteered” to head-up the parking committee-of-one during the flour drop. Chris Lenz will run the leader board (because he did such a good job at the PumpkinSPLAT!).
- There’s nothing new on the June 6 poker run except John Navara is getting a list of FBOs together.
- There’s nothing new on the “Tiffinfest.”
- Jim McCullough found a free scheduler on the web. He and John Navara are checking it out and will let us know what they think. If we switch to it, it would save us about $720 a year; of course, we wouldn’t make the switch (if at all) until after our contract expires with our current provider.
Bob Dunn moved with second by Brett Lenz to adjourn the meeting. Vote taken; Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:53 PM.
