GUESTS PRESENT: Scholarship applicant Walker Olson and possible scholarship applicant Skylar Reth (and his mom, Lori).
Dave “The Sheriff” White read the Minutes of the April 14, 2010 Board of Directors meeting. Bob Dunn moved with second by Brett Lenz that the Minutes be approved as read. Vote taken; Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Don Nelson reported that the Skyhawk isn’t back yet, but it should be real soon . . . hopefully, this week.
2. A brief discussion was held re using electric roaster pans to keep the food at the flour drop warm.
3. Jim Beeghly advised that he’s received four scholarship applications to date and that the application deadline is coming up (end of April). Jim encouraged anyone who might know of someone who’d like to apply to get an application in soon.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. New Member: Scott French (private pilot) from Central City
2. Don advised that the offer for members to make deposits and get a bonus on their accounts has been fairly successful and has helped us through when things were tight; however, he feels that, financially, we shouldn’t sustain that bonus level much longer and that we should suspend it until such time as it might be needed again to help cash flow. After a brief discussion, Don moved with second by Bob Dunn that we terminate the $500 or more deposit offer effective May 15. Vote taken; Motion Carried. Jim McCullough will send an email to all members advising that the offer is good through the COB May 15, 2010.
Bob Dunn moved with second by Brett Lenz to adjourn the meeting. Vote taken; Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:48 PM.
