The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Don Nelson at 6:30 PM.

The Minutes of the June 23, 2010 Board of Directors meeting were read by that evening’s “assistant secretary,” Patrick McCormick. Bob Dunn moved with second by Brett Lenz that they be approved as read. Vote taken; Motion carried.
OLD and NEW BUSINESS:
1. Don Nelson reported re the needed roof painting project (Don’s fun day) on the cost of paint and the amount needed, possible method(s) of repairing/painting the roof, etc. Discussion was held.
2. Pontoon ride. Tim Scheer reported that, to date, he hasn’t received any emails (in response to Jim Beeghly’s email notifying club members of the event and asking that anyone interested in taking part in it contact Tim). If anyone’s interested, call/email/get a message to Tim.
3. Dennis McCaw rejoined Green castle; WELCOME (again)!
4. Don (Father) Nelson reported that, after 45 years of teaching hundreds of us how to fly, he’s decided not to renew his medical. He’ll still be flying, just not instructing. [APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE OF APPRECIATION (in recognition of Don’s long, brilliant career) BY ALL!!!]
