OLD AND NEW BUSINESS:

1.    Don Nelson reported that the concert was a success, even though the weather was lousy.  Don thanked Rick Treiber for organizing the event, for taking the lead every step of the way, and for “making it happen.”  [APPLAUSE from everyone]  Approximately $1103 was donated to the flight scholarship, and we’re received more since.  Apparently, cellist Hannah said she wants to do this again next year.

2.    Don Nelson said our treasury is “improving slightly all the time.  It’s getting better all the time.”

3.    Don Nelson reported that there were two solos last week:  Alan Rubach and Mehrdad Zarifkar.  CONGRATULATIONS, fellas!

4.    Don Nelson also reported that we have three new members:  Bruce Gapstur, Phil Dorothy, and Tom Wizkowski.  WELCOME, guys!

5.    Pumpkin Master Tim Scheer said Dale and John will still offer a chance to hop a ride in their planes (T6 & Stearman).  We still don’t know how we’ll select the two lucky people who get to go, but that will be decided at our November 7, 2010 PumpkinSPLAT!.  The annual stockholder meeting will be at 11:00 a.m., we’ll eat around noon, and the PumpkinSPLAT! and spot landing contest will begin at 1:00 p.m.  John Navara will send out emails; Tomasz and Isabella will create a poster.  Thanks!  After discussion, it was decided that we’ll have crackers, chili, hot chocolate, etc.  Chris Lenz and Walker Olson will run the board, Rick Treiber will demonstrate his potato cannon, and Tim will get the cheap trophies and pumpkins.  It’s bound to be a lot of fun and should raise more $$$ for our flight scholarship (from donations received).

6.    The roof project will get under way this Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 7:00 a.m.  COME ONE, COME ALL . . . have fun and help!

Bob Dunn moved with second by Brett Lenz to adjourn the meeting.  Vote taken; Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 6:48 PM.
