The weather for flour drop turned gorgeous this time. Guys were grilling hot-dogs and hamburgers. There were potato salad, chips, grape salad and brownies. After the feast, it was time to go flying. Tim had his 1939 Taylorcraft out, two club’s Cessnas and Cherokee went up as well. We had one fly-in guest in Stinson Voyager. The flour drop competition was tight. Stiff wind caused several bombs to drift into soybean field but eventually most crews dialed it in and top contestants got result within inches from each other. Rick’s and Tim’s provided some entertainment by converting big gab of flour into smoke trail. Also, the spot landing competition between Andy with 17’1″ result and Tomasz with 13’5″ distance (nobody else was close) was eventually arbitrated by Terry, who took the fist place landing at 10′ mark. Terry won third year in a row. It was decided that if he wins two more we’ll let him keep the trophies ![]()
