The meeting was called to order by Jim McCullough at 6:30 PM.

OTHER BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Bob Dunn, Tim Sheer, Randy Stannard, Calvin Colony and Tomasz Korwel.

OTHER MEMBERS: Don Nelson, Rita Orr, Em Norden, Izabela Korwel, Terry Koehn, Mehrdad Zarifkar, Mark Eads, Walker Olson, Doug Weihe and Jim Beeghly.

The minutes of the December 7th, 2011 Board of Directors meeting were read by Doug.

BUSINESS:

1. Scholarship. Initial agreement is that candidates will have to attend some form of ground school as part of initial screening. Scholarship committee will discuss between themselves and propose details of selection process
2. Discussion has been held about how to finance scholarship. For past years we were relying on income from Charles Wendt concerts, but now we won’t have them anymore and we need to find different ways to raise money for the cause.
3. Virginia Collins soloed, congratulations!
4. Oyster Stew dinner is still on January 21st
5. Due to holidays next meeting will be on January 4th

MEMBERS PRESENT: Names of members present have not been recorded. Total head count was 14.

BUSINESS:

1. We have 2 new members this week.
2. Discussion continued on new scholarship rules and committee shape. So far Jim Beeghly, Tim Scheer and Mark Eads volunteered themselves to be on the committee.
3. Oyster Stew dinner will be held on January 21st 2012.

The minutes of the November 9th, 2011 Board of Directors meeting were read by Patrick.

BUSINESS:

1. It’s old news, but we still need to note in minutes that this year Pumpkin Splat has been cancelled due to bad weather.
2. Since last meeting Skyler Rath got his licence, Alan got his private, instrument and commercial tickets back, Doug Weihe passed his instrument checkride
3. Ground school is finished, Izabela passed her written test, Jonathan and Kathy will attempt to do so a little bit later.
4. New ground school is in plans, we were discussing possibility of combining ground school into selection process to better prepare applicants and to ultimately pick the best one. Also Jim proposed to split the scholarship into two scholarships each covering 50% of the training cost. Decision was made that exact rules will be discussed and proposed by scholarship committee.
5. Brett requested that if anybody has empty 28oz peanut butter jars to bring them to the airport, we will use them to build new runway lights.
6. Don requested to receive his $1000 check timely on 15th of every month.

1. Pumpkin is rescheduled to next Sunday. Weather is supposed to be good.
2. Ground school is wrapping up tomorrow.
3. Airplanes are in ok condition
4. Another (ex)airline pilot coming in for training this week.
5. Bod decided on new positions:
   - Jim McCullough continues as president
   - Randy Stannard voted for vice president
   - Tomasz Korwel will hold treasurer and secretary position.
