    Hi,

My son Mike is considering ground and flight training. He’s a junior at Iowa City West. What would it cost to get him licensed to fly? I know you have a scholarship but realized you’ve got lots of applicants.

Applying for the scholarship never hurts, he may be the lucky one :-) Back to your question. It’s extremely hard to predict the exact amount of money it will take to get a pilot license. The biggest factor is actually… money itself. It’s known that if you have a budget (and time) that let’s you take 2-3 lessons a week, the whole thing will end up to be much cheaper because your son won’t spend time relearning things he already forgot.

Is there a way to give flight hours as a gift?

Do you offer sport pilot training and are you taking on new members?
    Thanks!
