CrewChief Systems is the operational backbone of our flying activities—an integrated platform that keeps our aircraft, pilots, and maintenance programs safe, organized, and up to date. Available via mobile app and web browser, CrewChief gives Green Castle Shareholders the tools to schedule flights, track aircraft status, log flights, manage squawks, and access every airworthiness and maintenance record in one place. Legal Authority for Digital Maintenance Records
The following references provide the legal authorization for digital maintenance recordkeeping as well as the distinction between which airworthiness documents are required to be on display or carried in the aircraft and which ones are acceptable to be solely available digitally via our CrewChief Systems account.
Airworthiness Documents: The aircraft's Airworthiness Certificate must be on display for all flights. The U.S. Registration Certificate must be in the airplane during all flights, but does not need to be displayed. Operating Manuals and Certified Weight & Balance are available in CrewChief and therefore are NOT required to be carried in hard-copy during flights. Digital Recordkeeping: AC 120-78B authorizes and outlines digital maintenance recordkeeping. The Club will no longer keep hard-copy aircraft logs, engine logs, or any other non-required documents on board during flights. Our Club aircraft will have on-board hard copies of the Quick-Reference Checklists, In-Flight Guides, Airworthiness Certificate, and U.S. Registration. All of these documents as well as all maintenance logs, operating manuals, and other records will be accessed by our members through their CrewChief Systems accounts.
