Chris moved with second by Jim that the minutes be accepted as read. Vote taken; Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: 1 Treasurer's Report: Randy reported we’re in good shape. All bills are current. 2. All airplanes are up and flying except the Ercoupe, which is at Bloomfield for annual (which showed it has a fuel pump problem). Discussion was held re possibly selling the Ercoupe. The Chief will go down when the Ercoupe comes back. 3. Shawn said the EAA Chapter 1630 event held Saturday didn’t have as good a turn-out as he’d hoped because the weather didn’t cooperate. The next chapter event to be held will be a Young Eagles event. 4. Our June 2 brunch/flour drop/airplane rides event is coming right along. Mike needs help setting up, etc; Rick’s wife, professionally-trained chef Johnita, could use an assistant or two. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Randy’s granddaughter has signed up with the Davenport Army Reserves and his grandson signed up with the Waterloo unit. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH! 2. Several members have put advance money on their account so that is keeping us ahead of the game. 2. All airplanes are up and flying except the Ercoupe, which is in for its annual. The Chief will go in when the Ercoupe comes back from annual. 3. There will be an EAA event here this Saturday to let folks know what it takes to become a pilot. This is sponsored by our new EAA Chapter 1630. Shawn has done a great job getting this new club started. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Our annual flight brunch will be June 2. All of the usual activities including airplane rides, flour drop, food, and all kinds of fun will be at the event. A flyer will be out soon. 2. All airplanes are up and flying except the Ercoupe which is at Bloomfield for annual. 3. Chris said the Skybeacons (for both 172s and the Arrow which will satisfy the ADS-B requirement) are here. One will be installed on 17U first, followed by the other 172 and the Arrow. 4. Mark said he’s got a new ground school student and one went to Germany. All are doing okay. Minutes tead by Chris. Motion to accept as read by Jim second by Tim Old Buisness: Airplanes: all are flying except the ercoupe. Wings had to be pulled and checked the spar. Should be coming back in the next few days Treasury: no change New Buisness: Timmy has an old Farmall M that is being donated to the club for our use. We will line up a trailer with a winch to load it up and get it back here. Shawn got challenge coins as a fundraiser in memory of CFII Terry Koehn. Talk to shawn if you would like to contribute. Suggested donation is $20 going to the foundation. May 18 at 9am is the EAA flying start in order to get more interest in flying with older generations. We have a program to talk about flying the cost, introduce instructors, and will be giving airplane rides. If you know anyone whon is on the fence or has any interest in flying, bring them out! Flight breakfast is coming up on June 2 from 8am-noon with flour drop and airplane rides!!! Bring everyone you know for the best breakfast on the flying circuit!
