OTHER BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Andy Orszula, Chris Lenz with Paige and the kid, Randy Stannard, Dean Beranek, and Jim Beeghly MEMBERS PRESENT: Bob Dunn, CFII Gary Lust, CFI Jeff White, Bob Kline, Tim Scheer, Mike Mango, Alec Feller, Eric Spurgeon, Brett Lenz, and new member Tony Johnson The minutes of the June 17, 2020 Board of Directors meeting were read by Andy. Randy moved with second by Chris that the minutes be accepted as read. Vote taken; Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Treasurer's Report: Randy says it is all about the same. All bills are current. We have an outstanding bill to Heartland for the overhaul on N7717U but, hopefully, the new dues bills will bring enough to cover that in the next few weeks. New dues bills will go out on July 1 for the second half of the year. 2. Airplanes: Rick said the Arrow and both 172s are flying. However, we have bad news on the Ercoupe. In its annual inspection, it was discovered that it must have experienced a hard landing leading to damage in the landing gear and, as it was further examined, a crack in the main spar was found. So, it will be down for a long period. The good news is that Rick contacted the insurance company and it will be covered. The issue is, it will not be online for a while. The Chief will be going in for its annual this weekend and will be offline for a couple of weeks. NEW BUSINESS: 1 We have a new member joining us tonight, Tony Johnson. Welcome Tony. 2. Jeff White asked about other airplane options for trainers and a conversation ensued. Lots of ideas were discussed and will be considered. Randy moved with second by Chris that we adjourn. Vote taken; Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:52 p.m. Thanks, Dean, for finding the error in the name of the conservation program Gary and Sharon Lust support. Gary flies many missions for them and we understand Sharon volunteers in the office. The meeting was called to order by President Rick Treiber at 6:30 p.m.
