Randy moved with second by Chris that the minutes be accepted as read. Vote taken; Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Treasurer's Report: According to Randy, we have enough money to pay our bills current; we don’t know how much it will cost yet to get the Chief fixed after it swerved to miss a deer on the runway. 2. Airplanes: Rick said everything’s flying except the Chief. 3. Shawn said our EAA chapter 1630 is sponsoring a Young Eagles event September 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any EAA member who wants to help at the event should attend training August 10 at 9:00 a.m. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Next ground school: Mondays, September 2 through November 18, 2019 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. 2. President Rick Treiber: “Everybody is invited to help launch a new tradition at the club. After the first Board of Directors meeting each month we will be showing an aviation-related movie. Next Wednesday, August 7th, please join us for the “TOP GUN” movie. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage. If we can get the popcorn machine tuned up by then, there will be free popcorn available for everyone. Treasurer's Report: According to Randy, we’re “sitting in pretty good shape”; people are still pre-paying. 2. Airplanes: Rick said everything’s flying ... at the moment. 3. Swisher flyover update: Randy received contact from John Barnes who said they’d like to have the flyover at noon, 14 September. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Rick said he’d like profiles of our CFIs added to our web page and volunteered Andy to do it. CFIs: Please contact Andy with a bio for posting. 2. EAA Chapter 1630 meeting last week: It’s reported the meeting went pretty well with 12-14 people attending. Mango gave a little talk about his really neat Stits Playboy (that will be on display at OSH next week) and Ryan put on a little show with his pretty plane. 3. Chris just took a young man (Darcy Koehn sent to us) flying and, evidently, he liked it so much he’s considering joining. 4. NO MEETING NEXT WEEK AS IT’S OSHKOSH WEEK!!! Treasurer's Report: All bills are current and we have a fair balance .We are okay for now. 2. All airplanes are up and flying. 3. Chris is still working on getting the ADS-B devices installed. Probably won't finish until after Oshkosh. NEW BUSINESS: 1. We were asked again by Swisher Men's Club to provide a flyover at their event in September. Randy moved with second by Chris that we accept, Vote taken; Motion carried. 2. EAA Chapter 1630 meeting is this Saturday. 3. We have a new CFI, Matt Golden.
