Vote taken; Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Treasurer’s Report: Randy reported we’re in pretty good shape; credit cards are current and we have enough to pay insurance for this quarter. 2. Airplanes: Rick reported all airplanes are up and flying. We’ll do maintenance on the Chief and Ercoupe this winter when they’re off the insurance and hangared. 3. The PumpkinSplat! and annual stockholders’ meeting will be October 27 (rain date: November 3). Chris Lenz, Tim Scheer, and Jim Beeghly are up for re-election this year. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Brett will fix the five runway lights that are out. Thanks Brett! 2. If anyone has a vacuum cleaner they wish to donate to the Club, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO as ours has cleaned its last floor. We’ll be debt free ... until the fall insurance payment comes due, that is. 2. Airplanes: Rick reported all airplanes are up and flying at this point. The Arrow needs the ADS-B fly-off done. Since the Ercoupe and Chief haven’t flown December, January, or February in the past, we’re suspending the insurance on those two planes for those three months. If you want to fly them before March 2020, you’d better do it before 1 December. 3. The PumpkinSplat! and annual stockholders’ meeting will be October 27 (rain date: November 3). 4. Rick is still needing at least two pilots to fly at the PumpkinSplat! on the 27th. So far, Mark Pettinger, Jeff White, and David Ekman are the only pilots who have at least 500 hours logged who have signed up. There have to be more of you out there, so please contact Rick if you can fly. This event is a LOT of fun for everyone! NEW BUSINESS: 1. Fairfield is having a fly-in 26 October! 2. Rick needs to come up with a plan for plowing snow. Karo was volunteered to coordinate plowers. So far, Mike Mango, Jim Beeghly, Andy Orszula, Jerry Smithey, Dean Beranek, Randy Stannard, and Rick Treiber have volunteered to plow. If anyone else wants to be on the crew, please contact Karo. 3. Jerry brought out a bunch of 9V batteries for use as back-ups in intercoms, headsets, etc. 4. The 100LL pump is working again. Note: We have a hand pump for use when needed. Discussion was held regarding having one big fundraising event per year, rather than two or three smaller ones. 6. Tim reported one of the ground school students scored a 98% on an FAA practice test. Chris installed the ADS-B unit in the Arrow and flew off the required time for the FAA. We just need to get it approved by the A&P and logged and it is done. He will do N84455 soon but it will require an adaptor to install it. Chris will get Hartland to approve it when he takes the Arrow down for its inspection and logging. 4. Mark said ground school is going well with nine students; four of whom should be flying soon. 5. October 13, 2019 is our Family Air Adventure and Young Eagles event. [NOTE: SINCE THESE MINUTES WERE REPORTED, THE FAMILY AIR ADVENTURE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO EXPECTED BAD WEATHER.] The PumpkinSplat! and annual stockholders’ meeting will be October 27 (rain date: November 3).
