Here is what I saw yesterday when I went to preflight our Arrow:
And this airplane was parked for only 9 days in a closed hangar with oil heater turned on and blanket over the engine. Imagine how much water is there in the oil on those less flown ones. That’s why it’s so important to fly them regularly – oil needs to get above 180F for at least 15 minuts to get rid of all this water from it and keep properly lubricate the innards of the engine.
Fly them some more, will you?
